Objective
Distinguish decisive evidence from a plausible but incomplete interpretation.
10 min
What to do
Write one near-miss interpretation and explain which evidence or scope check rejects it. Save it in My Notes. This is private; no submission is required.
- Read the source or rule on the card.
- Make the requested evidence decision.
- Save the result privately in My Notes.
Task-specific response
Diagnostic evidence means using actual output features, not self-perception. Use the sequence: claim about performance -> evidence line -> impact on band.
- Claim: what is happening repeatedly
- Evidence: one sentence or phrase from your output
- Impact: which descriptor is affected and why
This framework prevents overconfidence and underconfidence at advanced level.
Transfer rule: Before deciding, check the task, evidence, scope and required output.
