What to do⏱ 5–10 min
Objective
Keep one clear job per body paragraph in Task 2.
Steps
- Read the explanation and the weak vs improved example.
- Complete the short task in your own words (3–5 sentences unless stated).
One main idea per paragraph
⏱ ~7 min · WT2
Why it matters: Examiners judge coherence partly by whether each paragraph has a clear job. A “split” paragraph often reads like two mini-essays in one block.
Weak example (mixed ideas): “Firstly, technology helps students find information. Parents also worry about screen time and schools should teach digital skills.”
Improved (one job): “Firstly, technology helps students find information quickly. For example, online libraries mean learners can access journals without travel.” (One point + support only.)
Reflection
- Write one body paragraph (80–100 words) on technology in education. Use only one main idea in that paragraph and develop it with one example.
Self-check
- You addressed only this one problem.
- You produced a new example, not copied text.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Putting advantage + disadvantage + solution in the same paragraph.
- Starting many sentences with “Firstly/Secondly” without clear topic focus.
