What to do⏱ 5–10 min
Objective
Start Part 2 with a clean opener after a brief reset.
Steps
- Read the explanation and the weak vs improved example.
- Complete the short task in your own words (3–5 sentences unless stated).
Reset before you speak
⏱ ~5 min · Speaking
After preparation minute: Many candidates start with panic-speed.
Weak: Jump in with “Okay so there are many things…”
Improved: Inhale-exhale twice, then: “I’d like to talk about…”
Reflection
- Cue card topic: “Describe a place you visited.” Speak only your opening 15 seconds after two silent breaths — no rush.
Self-check
- You addressed only this one problem.
- You produced a new example, not copied text.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Starting mid-story without opening line.
- Looking away from notes and freezing.
