What to do⏱ 5–10 min
Objective
Order your long turn so the listener can follow the story.
Steps
- Read the explanation and the weak vs improved example.
- Complete the short task in your own words (3–5 sentences unless stated).
Sequence your long turn
⏱ ~8 min · Speaking
Cue: “Describe a time you helped someone.”
Weak: Random details in random order.
Improved: “I’ll describe when / where / what happened / how I felt afterwards.”
Reflection
- Speak for 60–90 seconds: describe a time you were late. Say explicitly: when, where, what, end feeling.
Self-check
- You addressed only this one problem.
- You produced a new example, not copied text.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Lists with no time order.
- No closing line before the examiner stops you.
