What to do⏱ 5–10 min

- Complete the short task in your own words (3–5 sentences unless stated).
Bridge the gap
⏱ ~8 min · WT2
Skill: The first sentence of a new body paragraph can show how the idea follows from your argument so far.
Weak opening to paragraph 2: “Another problem is pollution.” (Abrupt.)
Improved: “While technology improves learning access, it also creates environmental costs, especially higher energy use.”
Reflection
- You are answering: Do the advantages of online learning outweigh the disadvantages? Write only the first sentence of your second body paragraph as a bridge from “advantages” to “disadvantages”.
Self-check
- You addressed only this one problem.
- You produced a new example, not copied text.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Starting every paragraph with “On the other hand” without a link to your thesis.
- Repeating the introduction wording.
